Frequently asked questions
How is Renew and Comply priced?
Billing is based on the number of billable properties at calendar month end. Occupied, vacant and normally archived properties remain billable; only properties permanently archived before month end are excluded. Pricing is progressive, so only properties inside each band receive that rate and adding a property never reduces the total. Prices exclude VAT.
Are workspace users charged separately?
No. Renew and Comply includes unlimited workspace users. Access is controlled through company administrator accounts and module-level permissions.
Can one organisation manage more than one company?
Yes. The platform supports multi-company property management while keeping each company’s records isolated and validating links between companies.
Can pricing be tailored for an individual customer?
Yes. A customer can use the standard progressive bands, a negotiated flat per-property rate, custom bands, a custom minimum monthly charge, no minimum charge and individual add-on prices.
What property statuses are supported?
Properties can be managed as occupied, vacant, archived or permanently archived. Normal archive does not stop billing, while permanent archive excludes the property from future month-end counts and requires platform administrator approval to reverse.
Can compliance requirement types be changed?
Yes. Requirement types and renewal periods are configurable, and requirements can be assigned only to the properties where they apply.
Does the system manage maintenance contractors?
Yes. Contractor records, trade or service type, status, notes, assignments, scheduled dates and costs can be linked to maintenance jobs.
Can keys be checked out?
Yes. The key register records who a key was issued to, checkout and return dates, and lost or retired status under controlled permissions.
Does the platform include finance records?
It includes a property-linked income and expenditure ledger, VAT values, references, summaries and exports. It is not a replacement for professional accounting advice or statutory accounting systems.
Are previous property and tenancy records retained?
Yes. Active and historical records remain available so authorised users can review earlier tenancies, compliance activity, maintenance work, notes and key changes.
